If you would like to receive your child’s end of year report card you need to send in a stamped, self-addressed envelope or $1.25 by Wednesday.
I am looking for people who are willing to come in and tell the students about your job and how you use math in your job. You only have to speak for 15-20 minutes. Stay at home parents are welcome as well to share how important math is in day to day living. Please email me if you are available and interested in sharing. Thanks!
There are several important things that students need to do to be prepared for the CRCT starting on Wednesday.
Second: Go to bed early! Get at least 9-10 hours of sleep before the test.
Third: Eat a good breakfast: fruit, cereal (not sugary kind), oatmeal, nuts, toast, waffles, etc. Avoid donuts, pop tarts, sugary cereal, chocolate milk, things that are loaded in sugar and will inhibit the brain from functioning at full capacity.
Fourth: Don’t stress. Prepare by reviewing, double check your answers and take your time during the test. Do your best!
Fifth: Bring several no. 2 pencils (not mechanical pencils) and a book to read.
If you are able to donate healthy snacks and water bottles for the CRCT please send those in Monday and Tuesday of next week!! Thanks!

There will be a math test Thursday over surface area and volume. The students will be working on a study guide today in class. Please ask them about their test and see if they can explain surface area and volume to you. If they cannot you may go to any of the links on my website to get extra help or they may come in for tutoring in the morning at 7:30.
Every Tuesday in February and March, 7th and 8th grade Beta Club students will be available for math and language arts tutoring. The tutoring will take place in Ms. Cosey’s classroom until 4:45. All students attending tutoring must have someone pick them up promptly at 4:45 at the front of the school building. Please e-mail Ms. Cosey (email@example.com) if you would like additional details.
