1 week to go until CRCT testing begins on Tuesday, April 22nd!!  This week we will  review reading standards and strategies.

Homework:  CRCT Reading and ELA practice Monday-Thursday and any unfinished classwork.

CCGPS Covered/Reviewed:

ELACC6RL1  Cite textual evidence to support analysis of what the text says explicitly as well as inferences drawn from the text.

ELACC6RL2  Determine a theme or central idea of a text and how it is conveyed through particular details; provide a summary of the text distinct from personal opinions or judgments.

This week we are studying/reviewing prefixes and suffixes. Also, we will finish writing persuasive letters requesting changes to school rules.

This week we will finish testing over our novels, Torn Thread and The Devil’s Arithmetic. Once testing is complete we will watch the movie The Devil’s Arithmetic and compare the book to the movie.

I have given out over 350 pencils this year and now I am almost out of pencils.  Do you have any you are willing to donate?  Thanks in advance!!
