Pre-Large Group Performance Evaluation (LGPE) Concert

Hello! Our next concert is scheduled for Tuesday, February 25 at 6:30 PM (students arrive at 6PM) at the EJCHS auditorium. This concert will be in preparation for a major event known as Large Group Performance Evaluation (LGPE). At LGPE, each group is expected to perform two pieces (chosen from a list of approved music) for a panel of three judges. We are judged in the following categories: Tone, Pitch, Rhythm, Diction, Ensemble, Interpretation, and Other Factors (stage presence, facial expressions, etc). We are also judged in Sight-reading, which is where the students are allowed a limited amount of time to practice a passage of music that they have never seen before and perform it for a judge. The rating scale is from a I to V, with I being superior and V being poor, so of course, all groups are practicing diligently each day in order to receive a Superior rating! We will have judges to do a mock judging at our Pre-LGPE concert on the 25 of February. Please come out and support the EJMS Choral program as we prepare for the “CRCT of Chorus!”

Thank you!
